Okay...i've finally got time to sit down and write a blog. First let's start with the drama before i left Fort Wayne and then i'll fill you in on the stuff here in Indy.
Two weeks before i moved, my neighbor came over to my apartment and told me that if i saw "K"s car, to call the police because they are looking for her boyfriend. This is the same boyfriend who has the shady friend that asked me all about drugs and the same boyfriend who i've smelled pot coming from his apartment. Apparently he stole "K"s ATM card, took out $1,000 from her bank account, stole a gun, stole her car and came back to her apartment. Locked himself in the bedroom and threatened to shoot himself. Then he came busting out of the bedroom, pointed the gun at "K" and threatened to kill her. Then says "Call the cops so i'll get in a high speed pursuit and kill myself". And then he proceeds to steal her car. Nice. The cops had been to the apartment and i heard a lot of commotion, but i just thought it was the kids next door. They eventually found him and arrested him.
Then...the Monday before my move, i was sleeping on the couch at 9:45. Suddenly someone starts banging on the door, like they are the cops or something. I open the door and see smoke pouring into my apartment and the alarm is going off. So i grab Columbo and run outside. Mind you, i have on no shoes and no jacket, and it's probably only 20 degrees outside. Smoke has filled the entire apartment building, and it's hard to breath as i'm running down the stairs. Well when i get outside, three people are on their cell phones. So i ask if anyone has called 911 yet. I hear a resounding, "NO". So i go grab my cell phone, and a blanket (the kid next door was in the tub and didn't have any clothes on) and called 911. As i'm talking to the operator, the guy across the hall is knocking on everyone's door to make sure they are getting out of the building. They knock on the door of the woman below my apartment and when she opens the door smoke starts pouring out of her apartment. But she refused to leave because she couldn't get her cat. How ridiculous! So the police show up first and remove her from the building and then the fire department how shows up and goes into her apartment. Come to find out she was cooking chicken and got sick. It was nothing but a burnt crisp. There was so much smoke in the building it was ridiculous. So they had to get a fan and suck out the smoke and we were allowed to go back inside. The building smelled like smoke the next day, but then it was all pretty much gone.
THEN, this week, my first week in Indianapolis i find out that there were break ins at Brighton Meadows (my old apartment). Some kids broke into the leasing office, stole keys on Wednesday. Then on Monday night (five days later) they broke into a woman's apartment (she woke up to find four men around her bed, talk about scary). They bound, gagged her, and shot her with a pellet gun. Then they robbed her. Next they went to another apartment where two men and two women were living. They bound and gagged the two men and one of the women. Then one of the guys had the other woman drive him to the ATM and take money out of her bank. Only she couldn't get any money out. So the guy just left her at the bank and drove off. While all that was going on, the first woman chewed through the tape and ran to the neighbor and called the police. How scary!!! Needless to say, i'm glad that i'm not living there anymore.
So far Indy is going okay. Nothing too exciting to report really. I'm getting settled in pretty well and just slowly putting things away. Mexico is next week. How exciting!!! Well that's all i got for now. I'll probably write more when i come back from Mexico! Hooray! I'm sure i'll have lots of good pictures too.

Holy fuck!
Maybe you should lay off the trips for awhile and invest in a better apartment :) www.apartmentratings.com is actually kind of useful.
Suffice to say I am glad you are alright though. The world cannot function if the wonderful Audra is doing poorly.
Billy
