I know you've all been waiting with baited breath for the summary of my weekend. So here it is!
Thursday was the concert with Nick. I felt a little old around all those 16 yr old Emo kids. But the music was good and so was the company. The evolution of Emo still is a little mysterious for me. What ever happened to your everyday run of the mill goths?? At least they didn't wear skinny pants and have bad haircuts! I slept in Terre Haute that night at the Tri Delta house.
Friday i went and hung around Rose-Hulman for a few hours. Met up with a few old professors. It was a really good time. I had lunch with Momma Artigue and that was really nice. I get to see her again over Thanksgiving. Then i drove to St. Louis. I met up with Josh and we settled into our room first. Then we went out with his friends for dinner and drinks. Over all a great night!
Saturday we slept late and went to the Arch. We got to go up in the Arch and that was pretty cool. The elevator ride was a little scary. We were crammed into this little elevator that was shaped like an egg. You had to hunch over when you sat down and your knees were touching the other people in the elevator. But it was worth the ride to the top, cause it was pretty cool up there. Then we went to the Science Museum. That was pretty cool. :-) We played with all the cool science stuff. We went back and took a nap. We tried to watch a movie, but the one we wanted to see wasn't playing for a long time. So then we were going to try PF. Chang's for Martinis. But they were ridiculously busy. So we went to Bahama Breeze instead. Had a drink. Went back and slept.
I left on Sunday to go back to Fort Wayne. I stopped in Terre Haute on my way, and finally got back to Fort Wayne around 9:30.
Overall it was a great weekend. Fake Brett is a really nice guy, it's just a shame he lives so far away.
PS. No real Brett in sight. Disaster avoided. Whew!

If he really dug you then after a few more times seeing you would head to you.
You are a great woman and men are stupid to pass you up.

Awesome. Glad you had a good time.
I hear you on the whole "scene evolution" thing. I don't remember any of the punks I hung out with in high school wearing skinny jeans, yet you see them all the time at shows. And the floppy haircuts. Go figure. At least the metalheads never gave up their jeans, Slayer shirts, and black jackets.
We should bring back old school punk/goth fashion. I might have to go buy myself a denim jacket and paint/patch it, just to show kids these days how it's done.
