Trying to sound intelligent

I have nothing witty to put here...clearly i am not doing a good job of sounding intelligent.

The addition of energy to the equation is not typically stated. All chemical reactions require an activation energy of some kind to get over the "hump" if you will. Just going to prove that i guess every relationship (romantic or otherwise) requires that extra little humph.

I had no idea my chemistry post would cause such a stir! I've decided i'd go out with Gun Enthusiast one last time...and if i'm still not feeling him...then i'm done. He did call me three times last night...that's a little excessive i think.

I like the pheromone theory...i can just explain to him...i don't like you because i don't like the way you smell on a subconcious level. Is that a good line?

For what billy had to say though...about finding someone who is crazy about me...and that i just kinda dig....yeah i'm not buying that. I've never settled for anything in my life...and i'm certainly not going to start now.

What'd you think would happen when you dangle science in front of a bunch of science/engineering students? It's like waving a cupcake in front of a fat kid - you've got our undivided attention (well, I suppose it depends on the cupcake).

I think "My brain doesn't like the way you smell" would work just as well as "It turns out the hair dryer really wasn't plugged in."

I wasnt saying you had to settle but if you are going to try and advance your career then the guys you are dating wont be the ones anyway.

I just dont see the current guy (gun boy) really following you in your career. Do you honestly think he will uproot himself and his core idea of himself and family to go with you say to NYC or Chicago then maybe somewhere else after that?

You need someone who isnt really your equal but is willing to follow you and allow you to be the one in charge of where it all ends up.

The settling only came into play if you comprimised your future career ambitions for cute men who are too planted in one area.

I just dont see you doing that. And you better not do that. You already know what i think of your qualities and ability. It would be a damn shame if you stunted your career for dimples.

Ah! But dimples are just so cute! What about dimples and blue eyes? Would that be acceptable?

For the record...i would never let a man get in the way of my career. :-)
