So i made it back from PA in one piece. The trip out there took for freaking ever, but it was probably some of the most fun i've had since i graduated college. The first day of class i got to meet lots of guys and then we went out drinking on monday night. After that night, i was dubbed the bad good girl, and spent most of the week hanging with guys from the Philly SWAT team. They were pretty cool. Classes were good. We made meth (legally of course, and my team won the prize for the best meth), we shot with a simulator while wearing our air purifying respirators (APRs), we went through a booby trapped apartment, and then we planned a raid and then raided a suspected meth lab (training simulation of course). We were wearing full self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) while doing this raid. Oh! And we walked through a smoke house wearing our SCBAs. It was really kinda cool. Not relevant to my job at all, but still very cool. I think a good time was had by all! We made it back in around 11pm last night. I've spent most of the day sleeping and relaxing. Tomorrow will be laundry, and then on Monday i think i may be going out with Pete (guy who fixed on our computers at work).

As promised, here's an analysis (how nerdy am i?) of my date last week.

Details:

He hadn't seen a picture of me yet, so he had no idea what to expect from me. We had dinner with his parents, his mom made spinach lasagna (excellent), home made bread, and for desert she cooked chocolate cake in small flower pots, sprinkled dried cake mix on it, and put a flower in it. She had put it up as table decoration, and I actually thought it was flowers in a flower pot. Apparently his mom has a thing for making interesting deserts. :-) It was definitely good. Then his dad and him took me outside and let me shoot some guns. I got to shoot a .50 caliber BMG (i think that's what it was called), a gloc, a beretta, a 454 casalle (spelling??) and several other rifles. I really enjoyed it. Then we took a ride in his convertible mustang (i'm gonna guess 1960's was the year) to go get some icecream for everyone. It was a good night for a ride, and i think we had a good time.

Conclusion:

Good date, and very low key. Not a lot of pressure. We have a lot of common interests, and he seems interested in doing lots of outdoor activities, which is a definite bonus. I'm going out with him again on June 16th for sure, but hopefully before then too.
