Another quick story for today. So i drove to dayton today to visit allen, amanda, and becky. Well i stopped to get gas on my way out of town...and as i was driving down Clinton St. and i saw the Advanced Autoparts that i bought my gas cap at. (I drove off without it about a month ago) I looked at the store and thought "Ah...that's where i bought my gas cap" and compulsively looked at my gas tank. And noticed the door was open!!! Doh! So i had to stop at the advanced autoparts again and bought another gas cap. Hopefully that's the last dumbass thing i do this weekend.

As predicted this was an unexciting week. However i do have a short funny story to relate....so on tuesday i was getting ready to go to work and was still half asleep. Well...i go to curl my hair...and i burnt my neck. Don't reall ask how that happened, cause i'm still not sure. Well, so i have this burn mark on the side of my neck. I wore a collared shirt on Tuesday so it wasn't a big deal..but i didn't on wednesday. So i go to work...and some of the girls there give me a funny look like "what you been doin?" and i ask them what the matter was. Well the point to my neck and kinda snicker. I said that i burnt myself with a curling iron...but they insist that it's a hickey. With anyone else...that would probably be a safe assumption...but we know what a klutz i am....so really...it's more likely that i burnt myself than actually get a hickey. Anyway...i found it amusing. I'm going to Dayton this weekend...so that should be a good time. It'll be good to see some folks from Rose.

This is gonna be a short post because i don't have a whole lot to say. This week was pretty uneventful...work...home...X5....then dianna came...and that was as always a blast. We saw hitch hiker's guide to the galaxy at the $1.00 theatre this weekend...and that was really neat...i enjoyed the movie...and then we went with mike to Piere's...(the IT place in Fort Wayne...a little overrated if you ask me) and we were going to sing karaoke...only..after you pay the $5.00 cover to get in..you have to pay a dollar for every song you want to sing! What's up with that???!! I've never heard of a karaoke bar that charges you to sing...so needless to say i had a longing for Rafter's last night. We still of course had a good time. And i learned an important lesson last night. Don't ever piss off mike...b/c he has really funny insults...(i didn't piss him off)...we were talking about someone who's a weenie...and he says...yeah...i'm gonna go to his press conference and yell "I hear you cry during orgasims...You're a bitch!!!" Oh my god...i thought i was gonna pee on myself! We went to Tumbleweed for dinner last night...and we had the funniest waiters...our host told us about our waiter Thaddeus...but he called him "Tha Deuce" b/c of how his name looks...and said we should call him that...well we did and the waiter pretended to be pissed about it...so anyway...they ensued this comedy "act" pretending like they didn't like each other and were talking shit about each other. Well...needless to say we thought it was pretty hilarious and ridiculous at the same time...and they informed us that we were victims of their humor b/c we looked fun and it was late...so anyway...Thaddeus is actually a chemistry major....so we talked about chemistry b/c i'm a nerd and that was good...that's pretty much it for this week really...next week will probably be just as unexciting...however...the following week will be fantastic b/c Jon comes back from Jordan. :-D Anyway...have a great week folks!

Sorry for the posting drought, i got a little busy with stuff. My mom and dad came up to visit last week and they left yesterday so i've been spending most of my time with them. :-) Of course now i don't get to see any family until the end of November. *pout* sometimes this whole work thing puts a damper on what i want to do. But...what can you do? Hopefully i won't be too late to see the autumn leaves in the mountains. So the three rivers festival is this week and i'm totally pumped. I think i'm going out there today, but i don't know what's going on. And i think next sunday there are fireworks..so i'm all about that. I didn't get to see any fireworks on the 4th b/c mom and dad thought it was too late (damn that hour time difference)...but i get to make up for it next sunday! Also dianna is coming to visit me which is totally awesome. I'm so pumped. I miss my baby girdinnia. In other news...Sara is moving to Evansville...which means she'll be within weekend driving distance of me. I'm so excited!!! I'll get to see her more than like twice a year. How exciting! I got all but one piece of my new furniture, so that's great! Now you can sit on my couch without feeling like you're sitting on the floor. Of course on my first day of my new furniture columbo jumped in my lap and i spilled my coffee on my cushion. Lucky for me i have scotch guard and fancy stuff to get out stains. :-)

So yesterday i went to a wedding with mike. One of the girls i work with got married in Michigan so we went to watch her look resplendent in her white dress. We had a good time. :-) There was a major fashion infraction though. This guy wore cargo shorts with sandals and wait for it....a jimi hendrix button up shirt. It was black and yellow and white...and just overall very tacky. Oh good lord...honestly people...if the bride and groom have to be uncomfortable in dresses and slacks so should you! Oh...and leave your dead muscian shirts at home. Oh well...what can you do?

My space bar seems to be a little less cantankerous (GRE word) today which is good news for me. Have any of you ever wanted to kick yourself b/c of something really stupid you did? I'm sure everyone feels that way at some point. I have that feeling today.
